Our motto ‘Embark on a journey to discover your future’ encompasses our aim that pupils will enjoy the challenges of a rigorous, academic curriculum delivered in an unreserved spirit of adventure.

We deliver a broad and balanced curriculum which will equip our children with the skills, knowledge and understanding that they will need for their next stage in learning and to be good citizens in the wider world we live in. Our curriculum not only meets the requirements of The National Curriculum but also the needs of our children in our school.

As a whole school, we provide a creative curriculum based around the "Cornerstones Curriculum". This is an exciting and inspiring topic based curriculum.

What is the Cornerstones Curriculum?

The Cornerstones Curriculum is a creative and thematic approach to learning that is mapped to the Primary National Curriculum to ensure comprehensive coverage of national expectations. The curriculum is delivered through Imaginative Learning and Knowledge Rich Projects which provide a rich menu of exciting and motivating learning activities that make creative links between all aspects of our children’s learning.

We believe children learn better when they are encouraged to use their imagination and apply their learning to engaging contexts. Our topic based curriculum provides a variety of learning challenges throughout the academic year that require children to solve problems, apply themselves creatively and express their knowledge and understanding effectively across the curriculum.
