Swimming

Here at Padstow we are extremely lucky to be just a mile from the sea and it is of vital importance that the children learn to swim while here with us. We aim to ensure that the percentage of children reaching the government's standard of 25m by the end of Year 6 is as close to 100% as possible.

All KS2 pupils have 6 swimming lessons of 1 hour in the pool each week. We are fortunate to have qualified swim teachers ensuring each pupil is achieving their best possible within their time in the pool. During the sessions, each class is split into different ability groups and the lessons are pitched to the level they require.
